Swavesey school class books
| The headmaster, Mr Mervin Vickery, showed to the children the copy of Osmond-Evans' book which had been donated to the school. He then called up representatives from the nine classes to deposit the books each class had produced in the capsule, ready for the burial day. |

The class books were excellently written and illustrated, ranging over
topics on families, hobbies, pets, the world and the environment, the village's millennium
celebrations and the history of the village. David and Barbara Hugill had previously photographed each of the 9 class books, page by page. These have been given to the school on CD to provide Swavesey with a permanent record. |
