Swavesey village lies to the west
of Cambridge. It is both entwined with the Greenwich Meridian Line
as well as being almost exactly half way between the northern extent of
The Line in England - Tunstall in Holderness - and the southern most town
- Peacehaven in West Sussex.
In May 2000 a commemorative Time Capsule was buried near The Line at Swavesey. Images of the village and that event are shown here. |
