End of the day

After school, some of the children arrived with small objects to be placed in a second identical capsule which has been donated to the village for an ongoing project. Artifacts, records, photographs and video of this and other events in the village will be added during the remainder of the year. The village will thus have a permanent record of their millennium year that will be of interest to future historians and villagers. |

The mechanical digger returned; the hole was filled, the slab positioned and the ground carefully neatened off. The day had gone well. |
