Burial on the green
| Swavesey
village has embraced celebrations with enthusiasm: from harvest festivals to royal
jubilees; from the new millennium to Village Country Day. It embraced the idea of burying,
in a time capsule, 'Britain - the Book of the Millennium', by Anthony Osmond-Evans, along
with village archives and books written by the
schoolchildren. The burial day ceremony took place on May 10th 2000. |
